Kira started working with dogs with an enthusiasm for the intersection of science and dog training. Originally trained in biology and biomedical sciences, Kira pivoted her career to dog training after a health crisis led to the need for a service dog, which she owner-trained under the mentorship of an industry-leading service dog specialist. Once her health crisis had passed, she had officially caught the training bug and began training professionally, ultimately achieving her prestigious IAABC-ADT certification. Kira specializes in obedience/manners, canine good citizen preparation, leash reactivity, and service and therapy dog training. Kira’s favorite treat is a gluten free carrot cake cupcake. A couple of Kira’s favorite activities include swimming & gluten free baking for humans as well as dogs!
